This might seem like a post intended for another blog. After all, what on Earth does grammar and punctuation have to do with beer?
Just looking at this word makes me laugh. But it is a real word, at least according to Merriam-Webster, the American Heritage Dictionary, and a few other sources. And not only is this word legit–it’s been used since 1766!
Editing or writing something and can’t find a word in Merriam-Webster, American Heritage, or the Oxford English Dictionary? Don’t freak out and don’t (necessarily) delete it.
And what is homogeneous so often confused with? Homogenized, for one, as in the word you see on a milk carton.
